*As of August 10th, 2019 CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education will no longer be offering Practical Driving Lessons and Drive Test Hire, this includes any services that require Practical on Road Instruction, Teaching, and Coaching.

What makes CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education different from other Driving Schools?

CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education’s main focus is creating a World of Advanced Drivers. This means that all drivers are Educated and Trained in a way that focuses on many aspects of driving, rather than just focusing on the VicRoads Drive Test. Other Driving Schools may not take students through tasks such as Basic Maintenance requirements, Vehicle Dynamics Education, Emergency Brake Testing or offer the option to Change a Tyre.

What areas do you cover?

Area’s are dependant on the Driving Educator. Currently CRUDE has one Driving Educator that services the surrounding suburbs of Carlton VicRoads in Victoria, Australia. For specific locations click here

What times are you open?

We are open for contact during business hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Driving Lesson times are dependant on the Driving Educator’s availability but you will find most Educator’s operate Monday through to Sunday around 7:30am to 6:00pm most days.

Where and how do I book in a lesson?

You can contact CRUDE on +61430084689 or info@crudedriving.com.au to discuss booking in lessons with a particular Driving Educator, unless that Driving Educator allows for AUTOMATED ONLINE BOOKINGS. Click here for more information.

Can anyone book lessons?

Anyone with a Learner Permit, P1 / P2 or Full / Overseas Drivers Licence can book in lessons.

What are my payment options?

You can make payment by Cash or Direct Deposit when attending a Practical Driving Lesson.

Do you offer automatic and manual?

CRUDE currently has Driving Educators with an automatic vehicle only but will provide manual in the near future.

Do I need to bring my logbook? (Learners Only)

It is a government requirement that Victorian Learner Drivers log at least 120 hours of driving lessons in their logbook. For every Practical Driving Lesson, you will need to bring your logbook to have your hours recorded.

How do parents / supervising drivers get involved? (Learners Only)

CRUDE offers parents / supervising drivers the chance to attend lessons for FREE. However, parents / supervising drivers must understand that they are not partaking in any of the activities performed and only required to observe, and ask questions if needed.



How much advanced notice do I have to book in a Practical Driving Lesson?

You have 1 day advanced notice to book in your lesson when making an AUTOMATED ONLINE BOOKING.

How do I purchase a Practical Driving Lesson?

You can make payment by Cash or Direct Deposit when attending the lesson at your chosen date and time.

Can I purchase lessons in a package or at a discounted price?

Yes, we offer a bulk up option. Purchase a minimum of 3 lessons in bulk to receive discounts. Please note these lessons can only be booked Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. These bulked lessons must be paid in full via Cash or Direct Deposit up front. Click here for more information.

How long does a Practical Driving Lesson run for?

There are four options to chose from when taking a Practical Driving Lesson – 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 2 hours.

What assessment is involved?

Upon request, you may undergo a 9 component comprehensive assessment that includes the VicRoads Drive Test Criteria. After 3 assessed lessons, you will receive an assessment summary.

What if I am late or unable to attend a Practical Driving lesson?

Understandably you may have unforeseen circumstances which prevent you from attending a Practical Driving Lesson.

What options are there for maintenance?

During any Practical Driving Lesson, students may go through basic maintenance tasks such as filling up petrol and tyre pressures. This also includes opening the hood and checking fluids along with changing a tyre upon request.



Does CRUDE provide simulation lessons?

Currently CRUDE only provides a simulator experience during the Advanced Driver Course. Individual lessons will be available in the near future.

What options are there when going for my VicRoads Drive Test?

CRUDE offers the option for pick up / drop off and any desired time for a warm up lesson in a supplied Automatic Vehicle before attending your Drive Test at VicRoads. Test bookings must be made at vicroads.vic.gov.au and a separate booking must be made with CRUDE. All VicRoads Fee’s are available on their website. Please ensure your Driving Educator is available for the Drive Test before making any booking. It is in our Terms and Conditions that if you’re a brand new student, you must take a Practical Driving Lesson and complete a Practice Test before booking or completing your actual Drive Test.

CRUDE will not take any new student on their VicRoads Drive Test without an initial lesson.

This service costs the amount of time used on the test day ($1 Per Minute) with an allocated maximum time allowance of 3 hours. It is unknown how much you will be charged on the day by CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education until finished. Please allow for a maximum of $180.



What is CRUDE’s refund policy?

CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education takes pride in offering a quality service to all participants. We want to make sure that you are happy and left with a positive experience, so please be mindful that CRUDE does not offer refunds on Practical Driving Lessons if you simply change your mind on this purchase. However, if you believe that we have wrongly described the product and service we offer, we will then do our best to help you understand; otherwise we will refund your purchase.

What is CRUDE’s cancellation policy?

CRUDE requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your lesson or a fee may apply.
