Why we are completing the Larapinta challenge?
In April of 2020 Courtenay’s sister, Genevieve, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Over 2 years were spent battling this aggressive cancer, during which Genevieve’s survival went from being very low, to being in and out of remission multiple times, having glimmers of hope for Genevieve’s longevity with some cutting edge treatments.
However, unfortunately, in September of 2022, Genevieve’s battle came to an end. May she rest in peace.

Pictured: In March 2022 when Genevieve was alive, we completed our first cancer charity fundraiser with “World’s Greatest Shave” in support of blood cancer. This was a LIVE streamed event that went for over 14 hours!

We are incredibly grateful to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for their support and treatment of Genevieve over those years. And even though this particular fight is over, the fight continues for many more.
This June, Courtenay and Jenny (wife) are trekking the Larapinta trail in support of the Peter Mac centre and in support, of the cancer research that could become the next break through that saves lives.
Please join us in the fight to support their world leading research. Together we can help make a life-changing difference to all people affected by cancer.

On September 5th, 2026 (the date Genevieve passed in 2022) we will be running another cancer charity LIVE stream event like we have previous years to continue our cancer research fundraising efforts.
