This blog post is in regard to a completely unfair and misleading Google review…
Context:
Recently I commented on NSW Road Safety – NSW GOV’s Facebook Post in regard to mobile phone use with L and P-Plate drivers.
New South Wales restricts learner and probationary drivers from using their mobile phone completely, whereas in Victoria, they are allowed to use their mobile phone for navigation and playing audio if it’s securely mounted and set up before driving. They cannot touch their mobile phone at all while driving.
My comment said:
“Once again, I’m grateful that in Victoria we allow Learner, P1 and P2 drivers to use their mobile phone for navigation and playing audio while driving, provided it’s securely mounted and they do not touch the phone! Let’s be realistic, they will probably do it anyway, so why not teach them how to do it appropriately and safely while on their learner permit. It would be nice if all states had some of the same rules.”

My response could have been better but I was clearly trying to get this individual to look deeper into the rules. After the review came through, I thanked the individual (sarcastically) via the Facebook comment discussion and shared the below screenshots to the individual from Victorian road law legislation…
So why did I bother to go to all this trouble… because I wanted to make a point, to bring awareness to others and to make sure newcomers to this business understand what I’m all about.
This Google review will be reported and this is evidence that it’s a completely unfair review.
Please do not respond to this individual at all. I’m not naming and shaming them whatsoever, hence why I blurred out their name.
